Sunday Wedding Soiree
Saturdays weddings are in are high demand. The most popular venues or “single room” venues such as our Conservatory are booked year plus in advance. Booking a venue within one year of your wedding date may eliminate a lot of Saturdays, but choosing a Sunday wedding, especially in our glass enclosed garden venue can leave you with just as magical of a day with some significant benefits.
Typically there are slightly reduced rates on Sundays. However, besides availability and cost there are other reasons to consider a Sunday. Sundays are perfect for a less traditional wedding. Do you fancy a strolling brunch with mimosas in the sunshine? Do you prefer an acoustic guitar performance over a DJ spinning dance music?
Sunday evenings are an option as well. In Michigan, the sunset comes as early as 5pm in the winter, a late afternoon ceremony with a 5-9pm reception gives you all the photo opportunities you want on your big day well into night.
Guests generally have fewer conflicts on a Sunday and can often take Mondays off of work for travel easier than the stress and hustle-bustle of a Friday. Plus Saturday is usually the cheapest day for air travel, allowing out of town guests to have a leisurely travel day before your big day.
The best vendors such as bands, DJs and bakers have generally have better availability and pricing on Sundays and non-peak days, making it easier to ensure you can book principal talent.
Whatever your reasons are, a Sunday garden wedding is perfect for the couple looking for a more casual affair with just as many memories to be made!
