Spring Wedding Trends for 2016

Spring Greens and Pale Blooms

Some of the freshest looks for spring floral are lush greens and pale blooms.

Pastels and Metallics

We are seeing hints of pastels and metallics in our special rental orders.  Think chargers, glassware and linens that add just a touch of pale sparkle.  These additions are truly special.

“The New Destination Wedding”
Here’s a trend one of our favorite ladies, Alison of VLD Events, is seeing for 2016. “Couples are increasingly looking for ways to bring in elements of places that hold special memories — no matter where the actual wedding is being held. For example, a couple who got engaged in Paris might bring in vintage street lamps to light the reception or use bistro signage for the bar. The idea is that you can have guests feel like they’re in Nashville, New York, your alma mater — whatever spot is close to your heart — and enjoying little bits of those places that have brought you joy,” she says.  Thanks Alison!

Living Jewelry
Ann Arbor’s own Susan McLeary of PassionflowerMade makes the most beautiful living jewelry.  Check out her work in her Etsy shop.  These would be stunning wedding accessories, especially on bridesmaids.  Very fresh and new, just like springtime.

Creative Seating
For our layouts, we’ve been using a mix of tables. We love the look of our long wooden communal tables mixed with square tables. This opens the possiblity to varying your centerpieces. You can use garlands on communal tables and more traditional centerpieces on squares and rounds.

His & Her Cocktails
Instead of just one signature cocktail many clients are asking for His and Hers versions. This is a fun way to include both your favorites and is an opportunity to use fun signage.
