Welcome to a new feature we will be posting regularly on the blog. It is called “Bouquet Deconstructed.” Each week you will get to see one of the gorgeous bridal bouquets created by the Planterra Floral Team and we will highlight the floral elements we’ve used. We hope it will be a great resource for flowers and bouquet inspiration. And it will definitely be pretty to look at!!
Bill, our Floral and Display Director, created this bouquet for a lovely bride who wanted an autumn bouquet with lots of texture, movement and color. Along with the traditional greens, seeded eucalyptus and ruscus, we used agonis and smoke bush to pull in the darker, purple tones of fall. All that greenery and the hanging red amaranthus brought in the texture the client wanted. The colors speak for themselves, very rich and saturated with just a few white china mums for contrast. The addition of the cymbidium orchids was a unique touch along with the traditional roses, garden roses, ranunculus and dahlias. This bouquet is one of our favorites.
