Marble is popping up more and more these days and it is inspiring us in our future wedding designs. We love the versatility of marble. It can be incorporated into sleek, modern and minimalist designs or more eclectic, lush and vintage-inspired looks. Marble works with glass and metal accents. Copper, gold or rose gold metalics all blend seamlessly with marble vessels and tableware. And besides the actual stone, a marbelized finish, whether it be on paper or fondant, is beautiful, too.
One of our favorite looks is this marble-finished cake with handmade floral, berry and kumquat accents by our favorite baker, Sweet Heather Anne.
There are many talented artisans using marble in unexpected ways. Etsy is a wonderful resource and a great place to explore ways to use marble in your wedding design. An invitation suite on marbelized paper is stunning.
Using actual marble stone as accent pieces is wonderful. We love incorporating marble at your entry table. As a place card, it is beautiful and makes a lovely momento for your guest. Whether as the place card itself or the pace card holder, the look is expensive and special.
