Why Sunday Weddings are the Best
Availability
This is an easy one, if you don't want a long engagement opening yourself up to a Sunday wedding gives you plenty more choices. You could get married sooner rather than later. For example, here at the Conservatory we still have quite few Sundays in 2019 open.
You will also find that other vendors often have more availability on Sundays as well, so you can book that fantastic photographer or the bakery you love with a lot shorter lead time.

The Full Weekend Wedding Event
Make your wedding a weekend, not just a day. This is a great option if you have alot of out-of-town guests. They can arrive at their leisure on Friday evening. Saturday day and night you can offer a variety of local activities that guests can partake in. This is a great way for out of town guests to see the best of your city, as we all know Saturday have the most selection of entertainment and cultural options. Your Sunday wedding becomes the grand finale of an amazing Detroit wedding weekend.
Unique Options
We've has several clients do Sunday brunch weddings which is a unique option... think bloody mary bar, a barista station, maybe a string quartet. There is something very sophisticated about a Sunday afternoon affair.

Price
It is an industry truth, there is often a bit of savings if you select a Sunday over a Friday or Saturday. Rental fees, food and beverage minimums and vendor rates are often a little less on a Sunday. These savings can allow you to spend a bit more on fantastic floral, stunning details like cut glass water goblets and farm chairs or wine service during dinner.
Also for your guests, the most popular weekend flight times on Fridays and Sundays are also the most expensive and most crowded. Saturday flights rank among the cheapest for departures and Monday/Tuesday returns usually make for an affordable round trip ticket.
