Rose Quartz and Serenity
Rose Quartz is a very soft, blush pink. Serenity is a pale, luminous blue. As Pantone describes them, “Rose Quartz is a persuasive yet gentle tone that conveys compassion and a sense of composure. Serenity is weightless and airy, like the expanse of the blue sky above us, bringing feelings of respite and relaxation even in turbulent times.”
In 2016, we will see these colors being used alone, together and with complementing or accenting colors. Check out Pantone’s color pairings for inspiration. The pairing options are plentiful from earthy and warm to bright and bold. Rose Quartz and Serenity both translate well into wedding design – from flowers and dresses to stationery and linens. They work well with either gold or silver metallics as table accents and in matte or shimmery fabrics. The floral options in these shades are beautiful. For that soft blush pink you can consider garden roses, peonies and dahlias. For pale blue tones, you might choose hydrangea, scabiosa or sweet peas. Dusty miller and certain succulents can give you that hint of silvery, blue as well.
Both colors are ethereal and we look forward to working with them in our designs in the upcoming year. We ‘ve been looking for inspiration on the best ways to use the colors. Here’s a peek at the mood board we are creating…
