As promised here are a few Halloween cocktails that would be a fun addition to a Halloween wedding or any Halloween Party. Enjoy!
Black Velvet (recipe via Real Simple)
3 oz. stout beer, such as Guinness
3 oz. dry sparkling wine
Pour stout into a large champagne flute. Slowly top with sparkling wine and stir gently.
Blood & Sand (recipe via Saveur)
1 oz. scotch
3⁄4 oz. Cherry Heering liqueur
3⁄4 oz. sweet vermouth
3⁄4 oz. fresh orange juice
1 maraschino cherry, to garnish
Combine scotch, Cherry Heering, vermouth, and orange juice in a cocktail shaker filled with ice; cover and shake until chilled, about 15 seconds. Strain into a chilled coupe glass and top with cherry.
Dark & Stormy (recipe via Epicurious)
2 oz. Gosling’s or Myers’s dark rum
5 oz. ginger beer
Pour the rum over ice in highball and fill with ginger beer. Squeeze in the lime wedge.
Berry Scary Martini (recipe via Martha Stewart)
1 C ice
1 oz. black vodka
2 oz. cherry juice
Fresh raspberries and blueberries, for garnish
Combine ice, vodka and cherry juice in a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously. Pour into a martini glass. Thread raspberries and blueberries onto a cocktail skewer, and place in drink. Serve immediately.
