Mother of the Bride Style

Bride-Mother of Bride

Bride-Mother of Bride

Mother's Day is the perfect time to say thanks to your mom for all she does for you.  It is also a great time for us to discuss Mother-of-the-Bride style!  We've been lucky to work with some very stylish "MOBs" over the years.  Here are a few things they have kept in mind when selecting a look for their daughter's big day.

Flatter your Figure

- Choose a style that shows off yours assets and camouflages areas you prefer not to highlight.  This is especially important when you think about photography that day.  What will make you look your best?

Choose the Color Wisely

- Select a color that works with your complexion AND complements the wedding color scheme.  And never choose white or ivory – that is reserved for bride!

Touch Base with the Mother-of-the-Groom

- Just as you want to keep the color and style of the bridal party in mind, the looks of both moms should complement, not clash.

Don't Forget about the Accessories

- Think carefully about your jewelry, shoes and handbags.  These things make your outfit unique. But don't go too far over the top - choose statement pieces.  This can be a great way to add a pop of color.

Comfort Equals Confidence

- Remember that the most important thing is to feel comfortable. Can you walk, sit, eat and dance in the dress?  The mother-of-the-bride will be wearing the outfit for around 14 hours on the big day, so comfort can be a key to happiness and confidence. Here are some great examples of stunning looks for the MOB!See more here at
